Positron expands reach into the EFM niche market with Aktino acquisition

And not a moment too soon…Optical transport vendor Positron has acquired Aktino, a small vendor specializing in bonded copper transport gear for carriers. The sale appears to be a done deal, though financial details have not been disclosed. Aktino‘s asking price may have been a bargain, though, given reports of the company’s financial difficulties and possible demise, due to lack of a strong customer base.
